Spanish Meadows accepts residents seven days a week.
Prior to admissions our staff will need to review the medical records of potential residents in order to determine if the resident is eligible for admission. Residents will only be accepted if their needs can be met by this facility directly or in cooperation with community resources or other providers of care with wich Spanish Meadows is affiliated. This process will also assist our staff in preparing the appropriate medical equipment for the resident's arrival.
Once accepted, residents have the right to choose a personal attending physician. A complete list of attending physicians can be obtained through the admissions department. Residents will be assigned to a room, where they can create their own healing environment. We encourage new residents to bring personal memorabilia as well as personal clothing, non skid socks and shoes, lightweight sweaters and any personal equipment.
Admission documents will be signed prior to admission. The resident or their responsible party can complete these forms. In addition to these forms, the admission department will require copies of the following items:

Spanish Meadows employs a licensed social worker to provide "medically-related social services to attain or maintain the highest practicable physical, mental and psychosocial well-being of each resident" in compliance with the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (OBRA) of 1987. Examples of medically related social services include conducting psychosocial interventions, such as counseling residents and their families, and evaluating residents' progress and functioning. We strive to identify all psychosocial needs and address these needs through care planning. Our social worker is guided by the following philosophy:
